Amber Morey-Wu is a veteran of Bay Area high tech startups, specializing in helping companies supercharge their efficiency, collaboration, and business results.  She helps create alignment through goal setting processes like OKRs, leads Agile implementations or improves current Agile adoption, and offers training in skills such as decision making, project management, and working remotely.

Amber’s career has encompassed working at fast growing startups such as Imgur, Fandom and DeNA, and enterprise companies such as LucasArts and Electronic Arts where she has led agile adoptions, successfully implemented OKR goal setting, and built a Developer Services department from the ground up. Certified with Scaling Scrum Fundamentals and as a Scrum Master, Amber has served as a scrum consultant across numerous engineering teams and companies, and has developed and delivered Agile training and Project Management training at multiple organizations.

Amber has led department strategy, and has consistently been the leader of cross functional decision making and program implementation for the past 15+ years. She is expert in analysis of challenges, creating strategy, then planning and executing department and company wide initiatives, ensuring cross department participation and buy-in, while managing risks.  She has driven countless cross-platform software releases, working with Product, Design, Engineering, Community, Marketing, and Sales to achieve successfully coordinated releases. 

Amber has hired, onboarded and led teams varying from four to forty across multiple time zones, countries and cultures. She has consistently been rated as a top team leader through internal surveys. Amber has owned the strategy and execution of multiple international, multi-day community events. She is a supporter of diversity in technology, having created and facilitated successful women’s professional development groups at multiple companies.

As a trained facilitator, Amber is skilled at leading groups to reach decisions, and creating action plans while ensuring consensus among people with diverging ideas and opinions. Having led multiple strategic executive offsites, Amber has successfully worked with leadership, management, and individual contributors.

Amber is originally from Australia and now lives in San Francisco with her Canadian husband and rescue dog Gryphon.  She is an avid traveller (20+ countries), loves long distance running, wine tasting, cooking delicious plant based meals, and volunteers weekly as a dog photographer and photography mentor at the San Francisco SPCA.
